High quality low grade granite boulder problems in a beautiful setting overlooking the River Lin as it runs through Bradgate Park. The landings slope away so a spotter and an extra pad are helpful. The crag is named after the Wishing Stone which sits next to the river just off the park drive .

Parking: The closest parking is the Hunts Hill Car Park LE6 0AH.
Approach: Head into the park on the main path. After a few minutes the crag will be clearly visible up and left of the path. The Wishing Stone itself is located just right of the path running below the crag. ViewRanger Map.

Well don't forget to tell him about the Wishing Stone ... You need to climb up and sit on it, then make a wish. It will come true but only if you don’t tell anyone what you wished for. Was a time when school kids on outings queued up to make their wishes.
Near the ruins, on the right of the park drive, beside the trout stream, is a charming miniature setting called "Little Matlock", and close to this on the same side is a great boulder known as the "Wishing Stone." Fortunately for folk-lore in this coldly unbelieving age, there are people, the writer among them, who still climb up, sit on that rock, meditate, and wish.
