Short problems only but in a very pleasant situation.
Ives Head is a fine bare breezy hill with a splendid prospect all around... a walk of half a mile will take you to the top. The hill is not guarded at present by any announcement that "Trespassers will be prosecuted."
In this parish is Ives Head, one of the prominent hills of the Forest, where was a Swanimote Court, and near which is the Hangman's Stone. A legend connected with this stone relates that a poacher resting against it with a dead deer on his back, was accidentally hanged through the deer slipping backwards.
