  Leicestershire Bouldering
Temple Hill
The very big and the very small
Also known as The Allotments

A tall butress with a few easy climbs and a spread out collection of small boulders in the south of the wood.

The big buttress is not currently in the guidebook but can be found by walking westwards from Swannymote Road along the footpath adjacent to the south edge of the wood. It is home to a few Outwoods-esque scrambles and would be a good place for beginners to get their first taste of tuff.

Parking: Park courteously on Loughborough Road (52.74578, -1.35523)
Approach: Follow the footpath north into the wood. The majority of the boulders are along the right hand path after the main path splits.

Provides a pleasant walk. There are many isolated boulders but none worth climbing. The old 6" map indicates a R.C. Chapel on the summit (The Temple), hence the name.
- Leicestershire Climbs (1993)
We see before us pointed and precipitous crags, piled up in every conceivable variety of grouping, apparently of immense height, and difficult to ascend. But when we get to the foot of them, we find out that a child can climb to the summit, and that the actual height of the crags is quite insignificant.
