The Brand is not just a trad venue, there is also an impressive bouldering cave! Access to the crag is strictly limited to those who have been granted permission from the landowners, which they are willing to do by prior arrangement. See the archived LeicestershireClimbs.co.uk for more information.
A few problems have been climbed here by Clint Maskell and Mike Adams. Described from left to right.
Young At Heart 6B - From a sit start with hands low, climb the overhanging face of the small boulder.
Ginger Nuts f7A/7A+ - Standing start with right hand on jug and left hand on the fin. Knee bar up the fin to reach the lip.
Ginger Nuts (Low Tide Extension) f7B - If the water level is low enough a lower start is possible. See video.
The MC Dyno f6C+/7A - From jugs right of Ginger Nuts, dyno to a jug on the lip. See second video here.
The Long Way Round f7C+ - An eliminate climb up the feature between Ginger Nuts and the MC Dyno. No use of the MC Dyno Jugs. See video.
