A fine situation at the south inlet end of the reservoir. It consists of strange red slabs and short steep bounding walls, with a number of pleasantly situated trees.
The hand of Nature is that of a fine artist in the Blackbrook Valley, where the process of denudation has given to the landscape the character of a miniature mountain gorge. The reservoir, too, completed in 1906, shows that the hand of man is not always destructive, for it adds greatly to the natural beauty of the vale.
