A quartzite quarry in Bradgate Park with plenty of low to mid-grade bouldering and a small number of harder tight-line problems.  The wall is 6 meters tall at its highest but the landings are flat and grassy.

The main crag is sandstone of the Trachose Grit quartzite: patches of iron-stained rounded sand grains can still be made out with the unaided eye.

​This is shown in the little quarry opposite the Ruins and across the brook, which, from a range of stable-buildings pulled down some twenty years ago, is usually called the Stable Quarry. It is a very puzzling place.
